Guide: How to print
This documents show you how to print the booklet. This is the same information you will find here but in a handy offline format.

Guide: How to use
This document gives suggestions on how you can use the D-FBS booklets both as an individual and in groups

V2
This is the version number of the Booklet. These will get updated as I make corrections and improvements. Should you have purchased an earlier version you are welcome to get the updated versions.

A4/Let
This indicates whether the booklet has been formatted for A4 or Letter sized paper. Please note that the booklet will print in a center folding format so your booklet will end up as either an A5 or half-letter size.

RH/LH
This indicates whether the booklet has been formatted for Right Hand (RH) or Left Hand (LH) use. This formatting places the “engage” page of the booklet where you can record your notes on either the right hand side with the printed scripture on the left side for RH or vice versa for the LH format.

To print the booklet follow the easy steps here –>

Select the PDF to print with the appropriate paper size and whether you want a RH or LH layout.

All the documents are formatted for PDF and for best results print for a dedicated PDF reader.

The Bald Disciple recommends PDF Gear as the application of choice as (at least as of the time of writing this) it is both free and bloatware free.

MacOS & Windows: PDF Gear

Most modern browsers will also be able to open PDFs and provide the required printing options.

The subsequent steps screenshots are all taken from PDF Gear.

In PDF Gear click on the Print icon.

This will open the default Print Dialogue box.

Next is the most crucial step to get your booklet printed.

You can select all the usual options such as your printer, number of copies etc.

However, there are 6 configurations that must be correctly selected:

  1. All pages – all pages in the booklet, even those intentionally left blank, must be printed for the booklet to form correctly.
  2. Print on both side – enable this check box
  3. Flip on short edge – please ensure that the SHORT EDGE option is selected. Most often it defaults to long edge.
  4. PaperSize – the PaperSize must match the document format you opened. Select A4 210 x 297 mm for A4 and Letter 8.5 x 11 in for the Let format.
  5. Orientation – please select the LANDSCAPE orientation
  6. Page sizing – select Fit Page

Finally, push the Print button.

Next, neatly fold the stack of paper in half WITHOUT changing the order of the pages. NOTE – the page numbers might appear out of order as it prints. This is intentional.

Next staple the Booklet by using the staple guides printed on the cover.

Tada – there is you very own, personalized, D-FBS booklet.
